Women's Tennis Swept at Bethune-Cookman, 9-0
WARRIORS SUFFER SECOND LOSS OF THE SEASON AND DROP TO 7-2 OVERALL
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Merrimack College women's tennis team suffered its second loss of the season, as the Warriors were defeated by Division I foe Bethune-Cookman, 9-0, Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Freshman Grace Messina (Caracas, Venezuela) was the lone Warrior in singles action to force three sets as she was defeated by Chinatsu Kajiwara by the score of 1-6, 6-3, 10-6. Junior Chealsey Giatrelis (Centerville, Mass.) put in a great effort in her singles match but was defeated by the score of 6-1, 6-2.
The Warriors were unable to pick up a victory in doubles action as senior Kara Hole (Portsmouth, R.I.) and Giatrelis were defeated 8-4 in the No. 2 slot. G. Messina and junior Shakee Messina (Caracas, Venezuela) put in a good effort but they were defeated 8-3.
