Softball's Home Opener vs. Assumption Pushed to Thursday (4/3)
MERRIMACK-ASSUMPTION TUESDAY DOUBLEHEADER NOW PUSHED TO THURSDAY (3/5 P.M.)
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - The Merrimack College softball team's scheduled Tuesday (April 1) afternoon home doubleheader with Assumption College has been pushed up two days to Thursday, April 3.
Field conditions deteriorated with rain over the weekend; to assure that the Warrior Softball Diamond will be playable this week, the decision was made to delay the contest two days. First pitch for the doubleheader is still set for 3 p.m. For both teams, Thursday will count as their Northeast-10 Conference and Northeast Division opener.
With the schedule change, Merrimack is now scheduled to play 10 games in five days, with five straight doubleheaders against Bentley (Wednesday), Assumption (Thursday), Southern New Hampshire (Friday), Pace (Saturday) and Adelphi (Sunday).
