Women's Golf Tied for Seventh at Bing-Beall Fall Classic

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Merrimack College women's golf team is currently in a tie for seventh place out of 16 teams, at the William Bing-Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio, heading into Day 2 action on Monday. The Warriors placed three golfers in the top-17 overall in Day 1 action on Sunday, as they currently sit two strokes back of sixth place.

How It Happened
Freshman Krystal Knight (Groveland, Mass.) and sophomore Alessandra Ricigliano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) fired 77s, as the two currently sit in a six-way tie for eighth-place overall in the field. Knight has fired 70s in eight of 10 rounds this season, while averaging a team-low 76.9 strokes per round. Ricigliano has carded 70s in five rounds this season, as she is averaging 78.8 strokes per round, which is the good for second on the team.
Sophomore Jessica Wagner (San Diego, Calif.) carded an 80 and currently sits in a tie for 17th in the field. The San Diego, California, native has posted five rounds in the 70s this season, while leading the Warriors in two-specific rounds.
Senior captain Jaclyn Drew (Lunenburg, Mass.) shot a 99, as she currently sits in a tie for 90th overall. Junior captain Sam Gervais (Chelmsford, Mass.) is in a tie for 92nd overall, as she fired an opening round of 101.
