Women's Golf Finishes in Seventh at Bing-Beall Fall Classic Monday in Final Fall Event

FINDLAY, Ohio – The Merrimack College women's golf team placed three golfers in the top-24 overall en route to finishing seventh out of 16 teams, at the William Bing-Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio, on Monday. This marked the final event of the fall season for the Warriors, as the team finished in first place overall in three out of six events, while breaking the programs' lowest-single round record on two occasions.

How It Happened
Freshman Krystal Knight (Groveland, Mass.) carded a 77-77-154 ledger in the two-day tournament, as she finished in a tie for third overall. The Groveland, Massachusetts, native has tallied 70s in nine of 11 rounds this season, while averaging a team-low 76.9 strokes per round. The freshman standout has now been the Warriors' top-finisher in four of the past five events.
Sophomore Jessica Wagner (San Diego, Calif.) fired a two-round total of 163 (80-83), while finishing in a tie for 20th in the field. Sophomore Alessandra Ricigliano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) shot a 165 (77-88), as she finished in a tie for 24th overall.
Senior captain Jaclyn Drew (Lunenburg, Mass.) fired an 83 on Day 2, as she shaved 16 strokes off her first-round performance. The Lunenburg, Massachusetts, native finished with a two-day mark of 182, which was tied for 70th overall. Rounding out the scores for the Warriors was junior captain Sam Gervais (Chelmsford, Mass.), as she recorded a 201 (101-100) and finished 92nd overall.
