#6 Field Hockey Hosts NE-10 Foe Bentley Tuesday

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The sixth-ranked Merrimack College field hockey team will look to avenge one of its two losses this year when they host Bentley on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. in Northeast-10 Conference play.

Last Time Out:
The Warriors won their sixth-straight game this past Saturday when they beat American international College in Springfield by a score of 3-2. The Warriors would score all of their goals in the first half, with two of them being scored by senior Lindsay Dobecki (Scarborough, Maine). Dobecki would score both of her goals with just over a minute remaining in the first half off of penalty corners.
Earlier This Season vs. Bentley:
One of just two losses the Warriors have suffered this season came in their season-opener at Bentley in early September, falling 1-0. The lone goal of the game was scored by the Falcons just over two minutes into the game. Despite the score, the Warriors outshot the Falcons by a staggering margin of 17-4, and also outnumbered Bentley in penalty corners, 16-2.
The Warriors:
- Merrimack climbed on the number six spot in the national rankings on Tuesday, making them the highest nationally-ranked team in the NE-10.
- Freshman Mary McNeil (Canton, Mass.) continues to build on a great rookie campaign, as she is second in the NE-10 in goals (9) and points (23), and third in assists (5).
- The Warriors will look to maintain their undefeated record at home on Tuesday, as they are 5-0 at Martone-Mejail Field this season.
The Falcons:
- Bentley is 7-5 on the season, including 5-2 in the NE-10, which has them fourth in the conference. Their last win came this past Friday in a 2-1 victory over Stonehill.
- Senior Becca Moore has been the top point-scorer for the Falcons. She is tied for the team-lead with three goals and has two assists for eight points on the year.

The Warriors will travel to Manchester, N.H. on Thursday night for an NE-10 matchup with Southern New Hampshire at 7:00 p.m.
