How It Happened
Libby Bemis tossed a six-inning no-hitter against Merrimack in Game 1, keeping the Warrior at bay while handing Merrimack its fourth shutout lost in six outings.

Bemis struck out eight while issuing only three walks against the 21 batters she faced, while opposite of her junior Alexis Perry (Westford, Vt.) took an unlucky loss and fell to 1-2 on the year after yielding only one earned run (three total) before being relieved by freshman Megan Cook (Bellingham, Mass.) in the second.

The Mavericks hopped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings before scoreless frames in the third and fourth for both sides. Minnesota then extended the lead to seven with a four-spot in the fifth and clinched the six-inning mercy rule with a two-RBI triple and another run-scoring single in the top of the sixth.

Merrimack managed to get back in the win column for the first time since a 10-1 victory against Georgian Court four days after edging St. Cloud State, 5-3, in Game 2.

Sophomore Haley Currie (Burlington, Mass.) picked up her third win of the season (3-2 overall) thanks to a stellar performance on the mound, while her offense backed her up with five runs. That accounted for Merrimack's highest offensive output since that aforementioned Georgian Court game; the Warriors were outscored, 46-3, in the six games since then.

Full recap/stats will be posted when they are received.
