MIDDLETON, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Warriors fell, 9-0, to Division I Boston University from the Northeast Tennis Center.

How It Happened
The Warriors returned to non-conference play by welcoming their lone Division I opponent on the 2015 slate in Boston University to the Northeast Tennis Center.
Merrimack fell down 3-0 after doubles competition. The best effort came at No. 3, where sophomore Nick Majewski (Brewster, Mass.) and freshman Frank Vega (Lima, Peru) lost by a 9-8 decision, as the match went to a tiebreaker.
At No. 1 singles, sophomore Steven Francis (Perth, Australia) took his opposition to a 13th game in the second set, before losing by a 7-6 margin. Junior Miguel Belfort (Caracas, Venzuela) put forth a similar effort at No. 2, before losing 7-5 in his second set.
Senior captain Vince Bellino (Amesbury, Mass.) participated at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles, while freshman Mikhail Belov (Krasnoarmeyskoy, Russia) appeared at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles.
