NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Head coach Michael Daly and the Merrimack College women's lacrosse team are set to host a youth lacrosse clinic on Friday in Harlem, N.Y., continuing the relationship they established last season with Harlem Lacrosse & Leadership (HLL) and the Sojourner Truth girl's lacrosse team.

The Warriors will be making a stop in Harlem to conduct the clinic, as Merrimack will be in the area as the travel to Long Island to take on No. 1 Adelphi on Saturday afternoon. The clinic will be at the Harlem Armory, one of the athletic initiatives of the Harlem Children's Zone.

The relationship between the Warriors, the HLL and Sojourner Truth began last season when the Navy and Gold were on Long Island to play Dowling College. After the game, the Warriors meet each one of the youth players, and became pen pals with the girls.

Since then, the student-athletes at Merrimack have been writing to their respective pen pals at Sojourner Truth every month, establishing relationships with each member of the girl's lacrosse team.

Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership is a school-based non-profit organization that provides academic, intervention, leadership training and lacrosse to at-risk youth. Harlem Lacrosse & Leadership: Shoot Low. Aim High!
