NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College baseball team has announced schedule changes for the final few weeks of the regular season, affecting a portion of its Northeast-10 Conference divisional schedule.

Merrimack was originally scheduled to take on the Assumption Greyhounds on Wednesday and Saturday this week in Worcester, Mass., but those games have now been rescheduled for a doubleheader on May 2 beginning at 12 p.m. at the Warrior Baseball Diamond. The contest on April 22, set to be played in North Andover, will now be held in Worcester.

Merrimack's three divisional games against the Bentley Falcons have been slightly adjusted. This Saturday, Merrimack will travel to Waltham, Mass. to take on the Falcons in a rescheduling of a contest originally set to be played on March 31. The other two games of the regular-season series are scheduled for April 14 and April 28.

This Sunday, the Warriors hope to make their season debut at the Warrior Baseball Diamond against Saint Michael's College with a doubleheader beginning at Noon. The two games will replace single-game contests scheduled for this Thursday and April 30. Merrimack opened divisional play with a victory over the Purple Knights from Trinity Stadium in Haverhill, Mass. in March.

Merrimack was supposed to host American International on Sunday, but those games have been cancelled and will not be made up.

The Warriors continue divisional play this afternoon with a doubleheader against the Saint Anselm Hawks. Merrimack won the series opener on Saturday, 8-3, from Trinity Stadium.
