What They Said
Head Coach Nick Crovetti: "This was a fun way to open the season. Lake Sunapee Country Club was in great shape, the weather was perfect and Southern New Hampshire University was an excellent host. Our team score of 309 is the lowest single round in program history to date and certainly is a good confidence boost heading into the Michael Corbett Fall Classic next week in Erie, Pennsylvania. However, I am more proud of the parity the team showed today, in regards to its range in scores. This is going to be a special season."

How It Happened
Sophomore Alessandra Ricigliano (Scarsdale, N.Y.) came out of summer break ready to compete, as she earned medalist honors by firing a two-over 72. The Scarsdale, New York, native has now been the Warriors' top finisher in six consecutive fall events, while earning medalist honors in back-to-back season-opening events. Freshman Krystal Knight (Groveland, Mass.) put together an impressive debut, as she finished second overall with a 74.

Sophomore Jessica Wagner (San Diego, Calif.) fired a 78, which was good for third place. Junior captain Sam Gervais (Chelmsford, Mass.) carded an 84, senior captain Jaclyn Drew (Lunenburg, Mass.) recorded an 85 and sophomore Samantha Monaco (Brewster, N.Y.) posted an 87.

It is the fourth consecutive season the Warriors have started their fall schedule with a victory. Last year, the Warriors came out of the gates flying, as they defeated host Wellesley, 322-367. In 2012 and 2013, the Warriors also began their season with victories at Wellesley.
