How It Happened

  • 29' – After registering the second multi-goal game of her career in Merrimack's win over Franklin Pierce Saturday, senior Hannah Magerman (Franklin, Mass.) would add her third of the season on Tuesday, opening the game's scoring to give Merrimack the 1-0 lead late in the first.
  • 32' – Just minutes following Magerman's goal, Pace would quickly respond with a score off of a penalty corner to tie the game up at 1-1 headed into the halftime.
  • 37' – Fresh out of the intermission, junior Taylor Simpson (York, Maine) gave a great individual effort take get by multiple defenders and get within close range of the net, but the Pace backline would do a stout job of getting their sticks on a shot from Simpson to keep it from going in.
  • 53' – Pace looked as though they may take the lead at the midway point of the second half, but a big defensive save from sophomore Delaney Yule (Southbury, Conn.) would keep the game tied at one.
  • 68' – As time wound down, Pace would get a penalty corner with just over two minutes remaining. After an initial save from freshman goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen (Bremen, Germany), Pace would gather up the rebound and put it in the back of the net for the late lead.
  • 70' – The Warriors would get one last opportunity for overtime at the last possible moment, earning a penalty corner as time expired on the clock. The Warriors would get a great look on the corner and cause a scrum in front of the net, but the ball would never make it past the crease.
