MANCHESTER, N.H. – The No. 9 Merrimack College men's soccer team will look to rebound from a 2-1 loss on Saturday to #23 Southern Connecticut State, when the Warriors travel to Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

Last Time Out:
  • Merrimack's 11 game unbeaten streak came to an end on Saturday against #23 So. Connecticut State, 2-1, on senior day. Senior Juan Meza (Cali, Columbia) scored the lone goal for the Warriors in the 13th minute, on an assist by junior Lars Sund (Stavanger, Norway). Senior keeper Lucas Rezende (Weymouth, Mass.) made four saves in net.
  • The Warriors sit in second place in the NE10 Standings with 28 points, just three ahead of SNHU, with two regular season games remaining. A win against the Penmen would lock up a top two spot for the upcoming NE10 Championship, and guarantee a home game.
  • Rezende's 0.62 GAA in conference play is tied for first, and he sits third among Division II keepers with nine shutouts, a career-high. Sund sits tied for first with seven assists in the conference with Southern New Hampshire's Romain Daniellou.
Inside the Series/Last Season vs. Southern N.H.

  • The teams have met twice in the NCAA Second Round, with Southern New Hampshire winning both games, the first in 2012 and the second in 2015. The Warriors defeated the Penmen in the 2015 regular season, 2-0, when Southern New Hampshire was ranked second in the country. Senior Mattia Lanzi (Viterbo, Italy) scored the game-winner in that game. Senior keeper Cody Russell (Oceanside, Calif.), who played 71 minutes made three saves in a combined shutout effort along side Rezende.
The Penmen:
  • The Penmen enter the game winners of their last five games, with a 2-1 victory over Saint Rose on Saturday. SNHU is in third place in the NE10 standings with an 8-2-1 conference record and 11-2-1 overall.
  • Southern New Hampshire have a 5-1-1 home record this season. Alex Satrustegui leads the team with 31 points, with 14 goals and three helpers. His 25 points in conference play leads all players. The Penmen have three others with 10 or more points.
