NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball program plays all three of its match this week and five of its final seven of the season at home, beginning with a Tuesday evening tilt at 7 p.m. from Hammel Court when the Warriors welcome Bentley University to campus.
Last Time Out:
- Merrimack suffered a five-set defeat at Assumption College on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors won two of the first three games only to see the Greyhounds rally to win the final two
- The Warriors established a season best with 93 digs. Five Warriors finished in double figures with junior Amanda Cain (Melrose, Mass.) setting a career high with 24. Junior Sofia Basauri (Beaverton, Ore.) and sophomore Rosie Sperduto (Brentwood, Tenn.) joined Cain with personal bests, with 15 and 13, respectively
- Led by a career-high four aces from senior captain Christina Nye (Plaistow, N.H.), the Warriors finished the day with 13 aces as a unit, their second-highest output this season
- Offensively, junior Katelynn Marr (Franklin, Mass.) led the group with 11 kills, her fifth match with 10-plus kills this season
Inside the Series:
- Tuesday marks the second time this season the Bentley and Merrimack will meet
- The Falcons have controlled the all-time series in recent memory, with the Warriors' last victory coming during the 2012 season
- The local rivals played against each other twice last season, once at the Merrimack Invitational followed by their annual NE10 matchup in Waltham
