RINDGE, N.H. – The Merrimack College women's soccer team travel to face Franklin Pierce University on Saturday night, in Northeast-10 action from Sodexo Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Last Time Out
  • The Warriors lost to No. 18 Southern New Hampshire University, 2-1, on Tuesday night in overtime from Martone-Mejail Field.
  • After a scoreless first half, it was senior captain Andrea Rego (Dartmouth, Mass.) that struck first. Rego took the corner kick and the ball headed straight for the near post of the net to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. However, the Penmen responded late to tie the game, before winning five minutes into the overtime period. Senior keeper Molly Meehan (Fairfield, Conn.) had four saves.
  • Freshman Izzy McDonnell (Fall River, Mass.) leads the team with eight points (3g, 2a).
Last Season/Inside the Series vs. Franklin Pierce:
  • Last season ended in a scoreless tie. Meehan made four saves in the game.
  • The last time the Warriors defeated Franklin Pierce was during the 2012 season, when Merrimack won a pair of games, both in overtime. The first was a 2-1 victory at home on Sept. 12th, with the second win coming during the NE10 First Round by way of a 1-0 shutout on Oct. 31st.

  • The Ravens enter the game with a 5-2-2 overall record and 4-2-2 in NE10 play. They sit in fourth place in the standings with 14 points.
  • Last time out for Franklin Pierce was a 1-0 victory over Bentley on Tuesday night. Gabie Pereira leads the team with 10 points (4g, 2a), while Nathalia Maria da Silva has four goals for eight points.
