NYACK, N.Y. – Four players scored in double figures for the Merrimack College women's basketball program, including a game-high 25 points for junior Lindsay Werner (Groton, Mass.) and a career-high 11 points off the bench for sophomore Giulia Orlando (Haverhill, Mass.), as the Warriors surged to a 76-52 win at Nyack College on Saturday afternoon from Bowman Gymnasium.

Marquee Moments:
  • Merrimack used a 13-0 first-quarter run that spanned the 7:28-4:45 marks, building a 14-point lead that never dipped below 10 over the remainder of the game
  • Freshman Alyssa Casey (Andover, Mass.) scored seven points during the run, while Werner and freshman Mayson Kimball (Webster, N.H.) each contributed one three-pointer each

Notes and Notables
  • The Warriors have posted strong starts in each of their four games this season. Merrimack has scored 94 first-quarter points, while not scoring more than 67 during any other frame
  • Werner posted a season-high 25 points, sinking a season-best seven three-pointers on 10 attempts. She has now scored at least 20 points in three of four games this year
  • Despite only playing 23 minutes due to foul trouble, Casey notched 19 points and six rebounds. She has now scored in double figures in the first four collegiate games of her career
  • Orlando netted a career-high 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, playing in 21 minutes off the bench
  • Alves entered Saturday as the Northeast-10 Conference's leader in assists, and left Nyack with a career-high seven helpers. The junior guard now has 25 assists through four games
