NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. ā After a scoreless first half against Franklin Pierce, the Merrimack College men's soccer team scored a pair of goals in the second half to defeat the Ravens, 2-0, in the NE10 Quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday night. The Warriors will host Southern Connecticut State on Friday night in the NE10Ā Semifinals from Martone-Mejail Field at 7 p.m.

- Junior Lars Sund (Stavanger, Norway) scored 28 seconds into the second half on a cross from senior Juan Meza (Cali, Columbia) to give Merrimack a 1-0 lead. The Warriors added another tally in the 56th minute on a goal by sophomore Aasmund Joedahl (Ridabu, Norway). He received a long pass from senior Michael Dushman (Bedford, Mass.) down the side of the field and beat a defender, before shooting for the low corner.Ā Rezende (Weymouth, Mass.) made a three saves in the contest for his 11th shutout of the season.

- The Warriors and the Owls met up on Oct. 21 at Martone-Mejail Field, where Southern Connecticut State won, 2-1. Meza scored the first goal, before two unanswered goals by the Owls gave them the win.

- The Owls defeated Saint Rose, 3-1, in their NE10 Quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday night. Lucas Saunders scored the first goal, while Louis Greenway Tambini picked up a pair of goals.
