RINDGE, N.H. – Merrimack College women's soccer team fell to Franklin Pierce, 2-1 in the NE10 Semifinal game on Friday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

How It Happened
  • 9' – Junior Tori Daigle (Dayton, Maine) had the first chance of the game, racing down the right side. Her shot, however, went just wide of the post.
  • 32' – Senior Sarah Boucher (Northbridge, Mass.) had the Warriors second opportunity. Unfortunately, her shot went just over the crossbar.
  • The first half ended scoreless with just two shots for the Warriors and five for the Ravens.
  • 52' - Franklin Pierce jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a goal by Veronica Marques. Marques cut to the middle around the Warriors defense to the right of the box to put a shot in the left side of the net.
  • 79' – Penalty kick goal by Nathalia da Silva bringing the Ravens up 2-0.
  • 86' – Warriors got themselves on the scoreboard with a goal by senior Emily Maier (Meza, Ariz.). Meza scored off a free kick from 40 yards out. However, the Warriors could not find the equalizer.
