NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball program will play its final home game of the calendar year on Tuesday night when the Warriors host the University of Bridgeport in a non-conference contest at 5:30 p.m. from Hammel Court. The tilt marks the Warriors' lone non-league home game of the year and second-to-last non-conference contest of the season overall.

Last Time Out:
  • Freshman Mayson Kimball (Webster, N.H.) went off for a career-high 28 points on 10-15 shooting and 5-of-7 on attempts from downtown in Merrimack's lone game last week against Bentley
  • Kimball earned her first-ever Northeast-10 Conference weekly award as a result, receiving NE10 Rookie of the Week honors. She led Merrimack in minutes played (37), points (27), field goals (10), field-goal attempts (15), three-pointers (5), three-point attempts (7) and blocks (3).
  • Sophomore forward Denia Davis-Stewart (Dorchester, Mass.) made her season debut after missing the first nine contests due to injury. The 2016-17 all-rookie selection swatted away a team-best four blocks after leading the NE10 last year in rejections
'Mack Facts:
  • Kimball's scoring average increased to 10.2 points per game through 10 contests, which ranks third on the Warriors. She also ranks second on the Warriors in field-goal percentage (.438) and three-point field-goal percentage (.361)
  • The Warriors have claimed five of a possible six NE10 Rookie of the Week selections through the season's first six weeks, with freshman Alyssa Casey (Andover, Mass.) earning four of the first five honors of the year
  • Merrimack is now one of only four NE10 teams with three players averaging in double figures this season
  • After 13 points against the Falcons, junior guard Lindsay Werner (Groton, Mass.) overtook the team scoring lead with an average of 17.7 points per game, which ranks fourth in the NE10. She leads the conference with 30 three-pointers
  • Casey's 17.3 points per game average is the sixth-best in the NE10, while she maintained her team lead in rebounding with 7.3 per contest
  • Junior point guard Karlee Alves (Ellington, Conn.) continued to pace the conference through last weekend's games in steals (29) and steals per game (2.9). Her team-leading 6.2 assists per game and 62 total helpers both rank second in the NE10
The Purple Knights
  • Bridgeport will conclude a jam-packed four-game in seven-day stretch when the Purple Knights leave North Andover tomorrow night
  • Merrimack will be the fifth NE10 program that Bridgeport has played this season. The Purple Knights are 1-3 so far against NE10 foes
  • The Warriors will take on a familiar face in Bridgeport's Samnell Vonleh. Vonleh – the sister of the NBA's Noah Vonleh – currently averages 11.9 points and a team-best 8.9 rebounds per game, and spent one season playing for Saint Anselm before transferring to Bridgeport
  • Sophomore Kadijah Dickson leads the team in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per outing
  • The Purple Knights' 40 three-pointers made are among the fewest in the region. The Purple Knights shoot a tick over 26 percent from downtown
The Series:
  • Tomorrow will be the sixth all-time meeting between Merrimack and Bridgeport, and the first since the 2011-12 campaign
  • The Warriors own a 3-2 advantage, with the last contest going in favor of the Navy and Gold, 72-70
  • Merrimack's non-league record sits at 2-1 through three games, with only one non-conference game left after the Bridgeport contest
Up Next
The Warriors will enjoy a near two-week break before Merrimack plays its final game of 2017 on Saturday, Dec. 30, when the Navy and Gold travel to Albany, N.Y. for the Warriors' non-conference finale at the College of Saint Rose.
