NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Looking to move over .500 in Northeast-10 Conference play, the Merrimack College women's basketball program takes on Franklin Pierce University tomorrow evening in a divisional contest in Rindge, N.H. Tip-off from the FPU Fieldhouse is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Last Time Out:
- Junior guard Lindsay Werner (Groton, Mass.) led three Warriors in double figures with 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting, pacing Merrimack to a 60-50 victory over Saint Anselm on Saturday
- The Warriors never trailed against the Hawks, leading by as many as 18 points in the second half. The Navy and Gold started the game on a 15-2 run and followed that up with a 10-0 stretch to begin the third quarter
- Freshmen Alyssa Casey (Andover, Mass.) and Mayson Kimball (Webster, N.H.) combined for 21 points, with each player scoring in double figures, while junior point guard Karlee Alves (Ellington, Conn.) totaled six points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals
- Sophomores Emily Houle (Attleboro, Mass.) and Kathryn Roberts (Grand Terrace, Calif.) totaled 15 combined rebounds off the bench, setting career highs with eight and seven, respectively
Team Leaders:
- Casey received her third NE10 Rookie of the Week honor through four weeks against leading Merrimack with a 19.5 scoring average last week
- The Andover native's 18.3 points per contest pace the team, scoring in double figures in each of the first seven games of her career. She also is Merrimack's top rebouder with 7.1 boards per game
- Casey and Werner are the fourth and fifth top scorers in the conference, with the latter slotting right behind her rookie teammate at 17.3 ppg. Werner's 22 three-pointers lead the league, and are 12 more than the next closest Warrior
- Serving as Merrimack's floor general and primary ball-handler, Alves ranks fifth in the NE10 at 33.1 minutes per game. She leads the league with 2.6 steals per night and is second with 18 total thefts. Her 5.6 assisst per game average is also second in the NE10
The Ravens:
- Franklin Pierce was in the midst of a three-game winning streak before losing a pair of divisional road games last week to Bentley and Stonehillz

- Franklin Pierce commits 20.3 turnovers per game, coughing the ball up as much as any program league wide
