Softball Concludes Nine-Game Divisional Homestand vs. Stonehill Monday (4:00pm)

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College softball team concludes its nine-game Northeast-10 Conference Northeast Divisional homestand on Monday when it hosts Stonehill in their season-series finale at Warrior Softball Diamond at 4:00 p.m.

NE10 Postseason Outlook (N.E. Division)
The top-four programs in the division standings advance to the NE10 Championship, with the second seed receiving a first-round bye and the top seed automatically advancing to the NE10 Semifinals. The top seed in the Northeast Division will host all NE10 Championship games. The Warriors have five divisional games remaining, while Assumption has seven to play and Saint Anselm has six.

Last Time Out:
- The Warriors took the season series from Southern New Hampshire this past weekend, taking two of three games from the Penmen at Warriors Softball Diamond with 8-2 and 6-2 wins.
- Senior captain Samantha Waskowitz (Killingworth, Conn.) posted a career game in the Warriors win on Senior Day Saturday with the first multi-home run game of her career including her second-career grand slam to lead the Warriors to the 8-2 victory.
Earlier This Season vs. Stonehill:
- The Warriors swept Stonehill on the road earlier this season, winning both games of a doubleheader by scores of 11-0 in five innings and 8-2.
- Senior Kaleigh Finigan (Medford, Mass.) and sophomore Caitlin McBride (Danvers, Mass.) each hit a homer across the two games, including a career-high five-RBI game in Merrimack's 11-0 victory.
The Skyhawks:
- Stonehill enters Monday's game with an 11-24 record on the year including an even 9-9 record in NE10 play. They are coming off a weekend series loss to Saint Michael's, dropping two of three games.
- Senior Cassandra Squeri has led the Skyhawks at the plate with .359 average in 34 games this year, including four homers and 13 RBI.
- Junior Jennifer Mayette has made the most appearances on the mound for Stonehill this year, going 6-10 in 17 starts with a 2.46 ERA.
