COLCHESTER, Vt. – The No. 25 Merrimack College men's soccer team travels to Colchester, Vermont on Tuesday afternoon to take on Saint Michael's College in the Northeast-10 Conference opener for both teams at 3:30 p.m. at Duffy Field.
Last Time Out:
- The Warriors picked up their third win of the season against Bridgeport on Saturday night, 3-0. Freshman Filippo Begliardi Ghidini (Ravenna, Italy) picked up his second goal his rookie campaign in the fifth minute, along with his first-career assist on a goal by junior Lars Sund (Stavanger, Norway).
- Three other Merrimack players tallied a point in the game, including senior Juan Meza (Cali, Colombia), and juniors Jack Feehan (North Masseequa, N.Y) and Paul Magazzu (Reading, Mass.).
- Senior keeper Lucas Rezende (Weymouth, Mass.) earned his second shutout of the year and stopped two shots.
Last Season/Inside the series vs. Saint Michael's:
- The Warriors picked up a 2-0 win against Saint Michael's on Oct. 28. Junior Tyler Packett (Eastham, Mass.) notched his seventh shutout and 12th win of the year.
- Merrimack has a 23-8-4 record all-time against the Purple Knights, including winners of the last three meetings.
- Senior captain Michael Dushman (Bedford, Mass.) is the only current Warrior that has scored against Saint Michael's over the last three meetings, back on Oct. 30, 2015 at Duffy Field.
The Purple Knights:
- The Purple Knights enter the contest with a 1-0-1 record, after a 1-1 tie against Saint Anselm on Saturday in a non-conference tilt. Cris Cervantes evened the game in the 66th minute.
- Saint Michael's have three other players with a goal, while Gabriel Pineda has turned away six shots in 167 minutes of action in net so far this season.

The Warriors will travel to West Haven, Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 16 to face the Chargers of the University of New Haven for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
