RINDGE, N.H. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball program won a tightly contest second set, 31-29, to tie Saturday's Northeast-10 Conference opener at Franklin Pierce at a set apiece, but the Ravens recovered to win the final two sets and knock off the Warriors, 3-1.

Set Breakdown
- Set 1: Merrimack overcame an early three-point deficit (8-5) to take a 15-13 lead. After a kill from senior Mary Kate McCarroll (Harrison, Ohio) put the Warriors up one, 18-17, the Ravens won four unanswered points to pave the way for a 25-21 win in the opening frame
- Set 2: Franklin Pierce controlled things until a 6-0 Merrimack run turned an 18-15 deficit into a 21-18 lead. The Warriors moved within two points of taking the set, 23-20, until the Ravens used a 3-0 run coming out of a timeout to create the first of seven ties over a 13-point span. Merrimack held off a pair of Ravens' set points before McCarroll ended things with the final four Warriors' kills including the set clincher, 31-29
- Set 3 The hosts used a stretch of six straight points to take a 13-8 lead, finishing the set on a 18-7 run overall to win, 25-15, and moved within one game of taking the match
- Set 4: A 15-5 start to the day's final set enabled the Ravens to control the remainder of the match, winning the finale by a 25-13 margin

Notes and Notables
- The 31 points were the most in an individual set for the Warriors since 2015, which also came in a match in Rindge against Franklin Pierce
- Sophomore Rosie Sperduto (Brentwood, Tenn.) 35 assists led all players and marked the fourth time through nine matches that she's recorded at least 35 in a match
