MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team continued its non-conference slate on Tuesday evening, suffering a 3-0 loss at Southern New Hampshire from the SNHU Fieldhouse in Manchester.

Set Breakdown
- Set 1: Kills from senior captains Mary Kate McCarroll (Harrison, Ohio) and Christina Nye (Plaistow, N.H.) enabled the Warriors to go on a 5-0 run and build a 13-6 lead in the opening game. The Penmen recovered to pull within on, 15-14, but the Warriors won four of the next six points to hold a three-point lead (19-16). The hosts answered with five unanswered points, and despite Merrimack recovering to take a 23-22 lead, the Penmen rattled off three unanswered points to end the frame and snatch a 1-0 lead
- Set 2: A back-and-forth second game tilted in favor of the Warriors, 14-10, following consecutive kills for junior Sofia Basauri (Beaverton, Ore.). With the score at 16-14, the Penmen embarked on an 11-3 set-closing run to take a 2-0 advantage to the third frame
- Set 3: Merrimack won 10 of the first 15 points to force the Penmen to burn an early timeout. SNHU emerged from the stoppage, however, and won 11 of the next 12 points to establish control of the set. The Penmen handled the rest of the set from there, winning by a 25-15 final

Notes and Notables
- Nye's posted her most kills in a single match since her sophomore season, and the .333 hitting percentage marked a new career high for the fourth-year Warrior. She finished the night with nine kills and two errors on 21 attacks
- Freshman Karina Anderson (Newbury Park, Calif.) now has 21 kills on 45 attacks with only four errors over her last three matches. She led the Warriors with a .350 hitting percentage with eight kills on Tuesday
