NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball program plays its second conference rival in a non-league duel in as many matches when the Warriors head to Waltham on Saturday to face Bentley University at 3 p.m. from the Dana Center.

Last Time Out:
  • Despite posting their fourth-best hitting percentage as a team this season, the Warriors suffered a loss to Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday night
  • Senior Christina Nye (Plaistow, N.H.) registered nine kills – the most for the team captain in two years – while hitting at a .333 clip. She added nine digs, falling one short of the team high
  • Freshman Karina Anderson (Newbury Park, Calif.) continues to hit well, collecting eight kills with only one error on 20 attacks. Over her last three matches, the first-year middle hitter has a .378 hitting percentage
  • Juniors Amanda Cain (Melrose, Mass.) and Katelynn Marr (Franklin, Mass.) were tied for the team lead with 10 digs apiece, while sophomore Rosie Sperduto (Brentwood, Tenn.) distributed a match-high 23 assists
Inside the Series:
  • This will be the first of two meetings between the Falcons and Warriors this season, with Merrimack hosting the rivals' Northeast-10 Conference contest on Tuesday, Oct. 24 (7 p.m.)
  • Bentley topped Merrimack twice last season, beating the Warriors at their home tournament before besting the Navy and Gold in league play
  • With a win Saturday, Merrimack will defeat Bentley for the first time since 2012
