NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team will head to Saint Michael's on Thursday evening in hopes to bounce back from its loss earlier this week at Bentley. Facing the winless Purple Knights, Merrimack will have a chance to brings its Northeast-10 Conference record back to .500 (3-3), which will be the program's best six-game start to league play since 2016.
Last Time Out:
- The squad lost, 3-0, against Bentley despite having three cracks at a set point to open the night against the Falcons
- Senior Katelynn Marr lead the Warriors with 10 kills and two service aces as well as posting nine digs to go along with junior Catherine Flaherty's team leading 10 digs.
- Juniot setter Sydney Buran notched a match-high 27 assists, including 10 in the first set alone
- Senior Amanda Cain added nine digs as well as a service ace to help the Warriors battle back against the Falcons.
Mack Facts:
- Since Buran took over as the starting setter she has averaged 8.32 assists per frame, boosted by her match-high 27 on Tuesday night.
- Marr pushed her team lead in services aces to 16 after posting two against Bentley
- With another block against Bentley, freshman Sophie Meyers leads the warriors with 34.0 blocks. The next closest on the team boasts 13.0.
- Cain currently ranks ninth in the NE10 in digs per set with 3.66, her personal best in all four years at Merrimack

- Saint Michael's will be coming into play off a conference loss to Saint Anselm this past Tuesday. The Purple Knights are still in search of their first win of 2018.
