NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The No. 5 Merrimack College field hockey program heads to Bentley this Saturday searching for its sixth straight win, and hopes to boost its national rank once again. Individually, senior captain Mary McNeil headlines the Warriors. The All-American midfielder is one point away from joining the 100-point club, and two assists shy of tying Merrimack's all-time assist record (37).

Last Time Out:
  • Merrimack last traveled to the University of New Haven this past Saturday, winning, 4-2, for its fifth consecutive victory.
  • McNeil posted her third multi-goal game of the season increasing her goal total to eight, good for the team high.
  • Freshman Juliane Ohmen tallied one goal on her career-high eight shots.
  • Sophomore Emily McNulty recorded her first career goal putting the Warriors up, 4-0, in the second half of play.
  • Junior Lindsey Nolte and sophomore Colleen Ellis both added an assist in the win.
'Mack Facts:
  • McNeil will be looking to join the 100-point club as well as break the Merrimack career assist record on Saturday against the Falcons. She enters the game with 99 points and 35 assists for her career.
  • McNeil is leading the nation in assists per game (1.00), contributing to the dangerous Merrimack attack.
  • After a 16-point campaign as a junior, McNeil has already passed that with 23 points in just seven games. The Canton, Mass. native leads Merrimack in almost every individual statistical category including goals (8), assists (7), shots (41) and points (23)
  • Junior goalkeeper Katharina Ohmen has also posted impressive statistics this season for the Warriors. She currently ranks third among all Division ll keepers with a .837 save percentage. Ohmen is also fifth in the nation in goals against average (1.00).
  • As a team, the Warriors are number one in the nation in scoring average (4.86), hold the country's best scoring margin (3.86), ranks second in assists per game (3.00), first in points per game (12.71), first in penalty corners per game (17.29), and sixth in goals against average (1.00)
  • The program's current winning streak marks the third time in the last four seasons that the squad has posted a streak of at least five consecutive victories

  • Merrimack split with the Falcons in 2017, and hold an all-time record of 13-16 in 28 meetings against them since 2003.
  • Bentley is coming off of two straight Northeast-10 Conference losses to Pace and Stonehill.
  • Bentley sits at 2-2 in home games this year, while Merrimack has won both of its road contests to date
