NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's hockey program looks to carry last weekend's hot start into its longest road trip of the regular season, taking on Penn State University this Friday and Saturday.

Last Time Out:
  • The Warriors produced a whopping seven goals in their first two games against Union College, with three players accumulating three points over the weekend. Senior Katelyn Rae tallied two goals and an assist, junior Mikyla Grant-Mentis netted three goals, and freshman Gabby Jones assisted on three scoring plays.
  • In game one against the Union, a shutout victory against the Dutchwomen saw Grant-Mentis score in the first three minutes of the 2018-19 season. Freshman Julia Maclean picked up her first career assist on a Dominique Kremer goal, and sophomore Megan Fergusson picked up her first unassisted goal of the season.
  • Game two was highlighted by Rae and Grant-Mentis, who had two goals apiece. Jones picked up her first career point and finished the day with three assists, and freshman Kiki Roust scored her first collegiate point on an assist to Rae in the second period.
Matchup Flashback:
  • The Warriors met with the Nittany Lions twice at home last year, dropping both games in overtime; senior Jessica Bonfe scored in each contest.
