Scoring Summaries
  • Goal #1 (1-0 MC) – The Warriors have been notorious this season for scoring goals early, and Friday night was no different. Just two minutes into the game, the first penalty was given to the Black Bears. Right as time expired in the attempted kill, Kremer buried the shot with assists from freshman Julia Maclean and sophomore Megan Fergusson.
  • Goal #2 (2-0 MC) – Taking a1-0 advantage into the first intermission, the Warriors began to put the game out of reach in the second. Senior Felila Manu recorded her second goal of the season on a feed from Cook and Fergusson; her second of the night.
  • Goal #3 (3-0 MC) – Cook got into the scoring column just seven minutes after. At the 12 minute mark in the second, seniors Paige Sorensen and Mikyla Grant-Mentis teamed up for the assists, giving the junior her first goal of the season and second power play goal of the night.
  • Goal #4 (4-0 MC) – With the current trend to start this season, the box score would seem empty if it didn't have senior Katelyn Rae in the mix; Friday's contest proved to follow suit. The senior tallied her eighth goal of the season unassisted to make it 4-0.
  • Goal #5 (4-1 MC) – In the third period, Maine tallied a score to cut the deficit down to three. Ali Beltz was fed from Celine Tedenby and Brittany Colton, giving the Black Bears a chance with just under 10 minutes left in the game.
  • Goal #6 (5-1 MC) – With seven minutes left in the third period, senior Paige Voight put the game away. The third power play goal of the night proved to be the senior's first power play goal of the season, with Manu and Grant-Mentis credited on the assist.
