NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball team begins the 2018-19 season at home against Georgian Court in the first game of the Merrimack Conference Challenge Tournament. The game is scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m. at Hammel Court on Friday evening. The Warriors will then wrap up the tournament at Saturday against Concordia at 5 p.m.

- Tickets can be purchased online, or bought in-person at Hammel Court. Both cash and credit card transactions will be accepted at all basketball games this season
- Pricing for the 2018-19 season is as follows: $7 for adults and $5 for youth (14 & under) and seniors. One ticket grants you admission to both games of a Merrimack basketball doubleheader
2017-18 Rewind:
- Merrimack finished the 2017-18 season with a 15-12 record, their first winning record since the 2014-15 season
- The team's 15 wins was the most in a single season since 2012-13 when the team won 17 games
- The Warriors had a season-long four game win streak stretching from the middle of January to the beginning of February
- Their 11-10 record in conference play was enough to make to Northeast-10 Conference tournament, but the Warriors fell to Adelphi in the first round

- Junior forward Denia Davis-Stewart ranked third in the NE10 in field goal percentage (48.8) and fourth in the NE10 in rebounds per game (9.4)
- Senior guard Karlee Alves ranked seventh in the country in assists per game (6.4) and eleventh in assists (172); Alves also led the Warriors in minutes played per game (33.3) and minutes played (899)
- Senior Lindsay Werner led the Warriors in points per game (15.4), points scored (416), free throw percentage (.830), free throws made (73), three pointers (63), three pointers attempted (202), and field goals attempted (388), while playing in all 27 games for Merrimack
- Merrimack was chosen to finish fifth in the Northeast Division of the NE10 Preseason Coaches' Poll
Series History:
- Friday's contest will be the rubber match between these two teams, with the series tied 1-1
- Georgian Court won the first matchup in 2016 with a 69-55 victory at home
- Merrimack defeated Georgian Court on the road last season 78-60
