NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's ice hockey team will look to conclude the first half of the season on a high note when it welcomes No. 10 Providence College to Lawler Rink on Friday before a home bout against No. 13/12 Northeastern on Saturday evening. Puck drop each night at Lawler Rink is set for 7 p.m.

PARKING AND SECURITY ADVISORY
Due to enhanced security regulations in place on campus, fans are encouraged to arrive to Lawler Rink EARLY on game days. The Lawler Rink security staff reserves the right to check ALL bags and ask guests to leave inappropriate or prohibited items in their car or outside of the gates. All guests are subject to search.

Please note the following parking restrictions for all games:
  • Lot F (MAC) is reserved for BLUE LINE CLUB MEMBERS ONLY.
  • Lot G (Deegan/Fenton Road) is reserved for GAME DAY STAFF ONLY.
  • Fans are encouraged to park in Lot H (Sakowich) or Lot M (Athletics District)!

BEER & WINE NOW ON SALE AT LAWLER RINK!
Merrimack is pleased to announce that beer and wine sales will be available at Lawler Rink this season!
Open to all patrons of legal drinking age (21+), beer and wine stations will be available both in the DiCroce Family Lobby (the main Box Office lobby on game days), as well as the Hall of Fame Lobby on the opposite end of Lawler Rink. Both locations will open one hour before puck drop and will close at the end of the second intermission. A valid game ticket is required for access to either location.

PLEASE NOTE: Beer/wine station sales will be limited to CASH ONLY this weekend!

WEEKEND PROMOTIONS
  • PINT GLASS GIVEAWAY (Fri.): FREE Merrimack pint glasses will be available while supplies last during Friday night's game. Please note: pint glasses will be available beginning at second intermission in the Box Office lobby.
  • WINTER HAT GIVEAWAY (Sat.): FREE Merrimack winter hats will be available while supplies last during Saturday night's game and can be picked up in the Box Office lobby.
  • MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT (Sat.): Tickets for active and retired servicemen and servicewomen, as well as EMS personnel, can be purchased for $10; call the Box Office at 978-837-5324 to order!
  • TOYS FOR TOTS: Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to both games for donation as part of Merrimack's participation in the Toys for Tots initiative. Cash donations will also be accepted, and all proceeds will be donated to Boston Children's Hospital. Those who participation in the donation will receive a ticket voucher for $10 off any future game this season. Toys/cash can be donated to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) in the Box Office Lobby.
Five Things To Know
  • Merrimack will look to get its fifth win of the season against the Friars on Friday night. The Warriors are 4-4-1 in games after losses this year. They have not lost more than two straight games and are 3-0-1 in games played after two straight losses. They are, however, in the midst of their longest winless stretch this year (0-3-1).
  • Merrimack ranks second in the nation in one-goal games played, having done so eight times. Only New Hampshire has played more one-goal games nationwide (10).
  • The Warriors' two opponents this weekend are a combined 10-3-2 in Hockey East, as Providence and Northeastern are both tied for second in the league standings. The Friars went 1-0-1 against UNH last weekend, while Northeastern topped Merrimack.
  • Four of Merrimack's top-five scorers are juniors, headlined by Tyler Irvine's 12 points (5g, 7a), which are a new career-high. Johnathan Kovacevic ranks is the top scoring defenseman with nine points (3g, 6a), while freshman Chase Gresock comes in at third overall with nine points (3g, 5a) on the season.
  • Merrimack's power play unit has scored at least one power play goal in eight out of 15 contests, including four games with two power play goals.
