STORRS, Conn. – The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team's season ended with a 3-1 loss to Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.

Rapid Recap:
- The Warriors had an 11-2 advantage in shots in the opening period, but could not find the back of the net. Each team had a power play chance, but the teams went into the first intermission scoreless.
- Merrimack killed off an early penalty but the Huskies struck first at 8:08 of the second period. The Warriors had a chance on a power play as well, but could not find the equalizer. UConn headed into the second break with a 1-0 lead and had an 18-8 advantage in shots during the period.
- The Warriors had a power play chance early in the period, but could not get a shot on net. However, the home team was able to convert on their power play at 12:27 of the third. Less than two minutes later, the Huskies added another one for a 3-0 lead. The Warriors scored on the power play with 15 seconds left in regulation.
Scoring Summaries
- Following an offensive zone face off, the Morgan Wabick skated around the net with players chasing her. She sent a backhanded pass to Catherine Crawley in front of the crease, who one-timed a shot to the right corner of the net for a 1-0 lead at 8:08.
- Theresa Knutson picked up a rebound in front the net, before turning and firing a shot in the slot to give the Huskies a 2-0 lead at 12:27 of the third.
- Knutson set up the third goal on a two-on-one breakaway. She skated down the left side of the boards and fed a pass to Leah Lum, who one-timed a blast to the back of the net at 14:12.
- Dominique Kremer was set up with a one-timer at the point with a pass from Chloe Cook.
Notes and Notables
- Kremer picked up her second goal of the year, while Cook second assist.
- It was Demers' 10th game with 20 or more saves on the year.
