NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball program returns to the Northeast-10 Conference Championship for the third time in the last four years on Friday evening, when the fifth-seeded Warriors invade the Center for Recreation and Sport to face the fourth-seeded Adelphi University Panthers at 7 p.m. in Garden City, N.Y.

Last Time Out:
- The Warriors celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday against Saint Michael's, honoring the careers of senior captain Cecilia Reyes and senior Emily Stephens
- Junior Karlee Alves registered a career performance with a career-high 15 points, shooting 6-of-9 from the field while distributing seven assists
- Four Warriors scored in double figures including a game-high 16 points from freshman Mayson Kimball off the bench
- Sophomore Denia Davis-Stewart and freshman Alyssa Casey scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, with the latter sinking 4-of-6 from the field. With the Warriors clinching to a 64-62 lead late in the fourth quarter, Davis-Stewart beat the shot clock to put Merrimack up four, which proved to be the game-winning bucket
'Mack Facts:
- Merrimack will play in the first round as the fifth seed from the Northeast Division for the second straight year. Last season, the Warriors went on the road and topped Pace to advance to the quarterfinals
- With 15 victories to date, seventh-year head coach Monique LeBlanc has the second-most wins of her tenure. LeBlanc needs 11 more wins to reach 100 for her career
- Junior Lindsay Werner leads Merrimack in scoring at 15.5 points per game, while her 61 three-pointers are among the top five in the conference. She is two away from setting a new single-season program record
- Davis-Stewart qualified for the NE10's per-game statistic leaders after Tuesday night, and now leads the league in blocks per game (4.9). The second-year center ranks second in total rejections with 78
- The freshmen duo of Casey and Kimball have combined to win 10 NE10 Rookie of the Week awards this season, emerging as two of the top newcomers in the league. They both average in double figures and rank second and third on the team, respectively, in three-pointers made
The Panthers:
- Adelphi qualified for the NE10 Championship as the fourth seed in the Southwest Division. The Panthers have an overall record of 13-15, while winning nine of 20 NE10 games
- Senior Simone Hobdy leads the squad with over 12 points per game while adding a team-best 7.6 rebounds per contest
- Sophomore Fallyn Stephens paces both the Panthers and the NE10 with 71 three-pointers this season. Eighty percent of her field goals this season have been from distance
- The Panthers rank fourth in the NE10 in scoring offense at 64.5 points per game, but allow the 11th-most points per game in the league (61.8 ppg)
The Series:
- Despite outscoring the Panthers by 20 points in the second and third quarters, the Warriors suffered a 63-60 defeat at the hands of Adelphi as the Panthers completed a fourth-quarter comeback at Hammel Court
- Werner hit 6-of-11 from three-point range to score a team-high 21 points and Davis-Stewart posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards
- The Navy and Gold are 7-10 all-time against the Panthers, and have never played Adelphi in the postseason
