SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Merrimack College men's tennis program ended its week out in California on a high note, topping San Diego Mesa College, 9-0, on Friday afternoon from the San Diego Mesa Tennis Courts. The Warriors will return to campus this weekend with a 9-7 overall record, and will prep for the Navy and Gold's final five Northeast-10 Conference games of the season.

- The Warriors swept the doubles portion of the match without much difficulty. The closest match came at the second flight, where junior Alex Fedorov and sophomore Denis Davydov won in 12 games, 8-4
- Seniors Mikhail Belov and Frank Vega won at the first flight (8-2), while junior Tyler Clontz and sophomore Paul Weidinger triumphed at No. 3, 8-3
- Belov rallied to win at first singles in three sets after dropping his opening frame. The Krasnoarmeyskoy, Russia native recovered in the second set, 6-1, before winning the third-set tiebreaker, 10-5
- The remaining five singles matches resulted in sweeps for the Warriors, highlighted by shutouts for Davydov at the second flight and Weidinger at No. 6
