WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 6 men's soccer team fell to Bentley on the road Wednesday, September 19, by a score of 2-1. It was the first loss of the season for the Warriors.

How it Happened
- Bentley immediately attacked the Warriors, throwing a shot that was deflected out in the first 45 seconds of the game.
- The ensuing corner kick for the Falcons resulted in a goal. A ball bending away from the net off the foot of Connor Mote found the head of Adam Watkins, who gave the home team a 1-0 lead.
- Just over 10 minutes later, Merrimack had a great opportunity to score the equalizer. After a Warrior was taken down inside the 18, junior Aasmund Joedahl's penalty kick was saved by Bentley keeper David Price.
- Only three more shots were taken combined from both teams before the halftime whistle blew.
- Merrimack came out in the second half with a relit fire, throwing two shots on the first ten minutes.
- The best opportunity came early in the second d half, when a ball crossed in to senior Lars Sund just missed the near post.
- Bentley countered, and doubled their lead ensuing the opportunity. Nick Halliday netted the second when a through ball left his with just the goalkeeper to beat.
- The Warriors fought back, and in the 73rd minute, were rewarded. A deep set piece from Sund was timed inside the six by junior Mirko Nufi, who outjumped the goalie and cut the lead in half.
- The Warriors put two more shots on frame, but couldn't get the equalizer before the final buzzer.

- Bentley's David Price was the hero, making five huge saves in the back half of the game.
