NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team looks to get back in the win column when the Warriors host the Northeast-10 Conference-leading New Haven Chargers at Hammel Court at 7 p.m on Tuesday night.
Last Time Out:
- Merrimack's last match came on Saturday against Saint Rose, continuing the program's current five-match homestand. The visitors went up 2-0, despite three-kill efforts from seniors Sofia Basauri in the first set and senior Katelynn Marr in the second
- The third set proved to be the best of the afternoon, with both teams exchanging leads throughout the set
- Junior Catherine Flaherty and Marr both added kills to preserve the lead and a 3-0 run by the Warriors gave the home team a 17-15 lead
- Despite Merrimack's lead, Saint Rose claimed 10 of the final 12 points of the day to end the contest in three sets (25-19)
Mack Facts:
- Flaherty leads the Warriors with 101 kills as do here 117.5 overall points on the year. She currently is averaging 2.24 kills per frame, which also paces the club
- Senior Amanda Cain leads the Warriors with 157 digs, and ranks 11th in the NE10 with 3.49 digs per set. Freshman Sophie Meyers paces the team 0.69 blocks per set, which is among the top-15 totals in the conference
- The Warriors enter play eighth in the NE10 standings, with all their remaining contests in league play
