GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Merrimack College women's tennis program nearly upset the defending Northeast-10 Conference champions, but the Adelphi University Panthers held on for a 4-3 victory at the Panthers' on-campus tennis courts on Saturday afternoon. Merrimack suffered its first NE10 loss of the year, while Adelphi improved to 3-1 in league play.

Merrimack immediately will be back in action tomorrow afternoon for both the men's and women's tennis programs host Daemen in non-conference play at North Andover High School. Action is slated to begin at 10 a.m.
