NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack women's ice hockey team heads on its first road trip to Boston to take on the No. 10/10 Boston University Terriers on Friday night.
Five Things to Know:
• Through the first four games, ten Merrimack players have gotten on the score sheet, with six players holding at least two points.
• Senior
Mikyla Grant-Mentis leads the team in points with three and is tied with sophomore
Gabby Jones for the team lead in goals with two.
• Senior goaltender Lea-Kristine Demers has started in three of four games this year, earning a 1.37 goals against average and .949 save percentage. Freshman
Emma Gorski earned her first career win on Saturday, taking a 2-1 victory over RPI with a 27 save performance.
• The Warriors tied the Terriers twice last season, going 0-1-2 overall against BU. Merrimack took its first win at Walter Brown on Jan. 28, 2017 with a 2-1 victory.
• Friday's contest will be BU's first home game of the 2019-20 season, after taking a 2-1 victory at Union. The Terriers were picked to finish second in the Hockey East preseason poll.
