NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball enters the weekend searching for their first Division I win as they compete in three back-to-back matches this weekend. Starting off their weekend at home, they will face Robert Morris University for the second time this season on Thursday. Then, they'll travel to Long Island University on Friday, and to Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday to compete against two first-time opponets.
Five Things to Know:
- Senior Captains, Rosie Sperduto and Catherine Flaherty have set the standards high offensively for the Warriors. Sperduto leads the team with 235 assists, while Flaherty leads the team with 92 kills.
- Sophomore Megan Rumenapp set a season-high with 10 assists and seven digs during the last match against Saint Francis Brooklyn.
- Junior, Emma Gagner, of RMU earned her third Molten/ NEC Player of the Week averaging a .480 hitting average. The Colonials enter tomorrow's action sitting atop the NEC standings
- Freshman Karolina Nova of LIU was named Molten/ NEC Rookie of the Week for the fourth straight week after averaging 5.00 kills per set, leading the Sharks' offense
- Junior Magdalena Maksimovic of FDU leads the team offensively with 152 killsÂ
