NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball team travels to the College of Holy Cross on Saturday, November 23
rd. The Warriors head into the matchup after getting their third win of the season Wednesday night over Eastern Nazarene College. Merrimack also has wins over Umass and UNH this season.
Five Things to Know:
- Junior Alyssa Casey scored a season-high 17 points in the Warriors win over Eastern Nazarene College on Wednesday night. Casey is currently ranked third on the team in scoring averaging 10.4 points a game this season.
- Senior Denia Davis-Stewart continues to pack that stat sheet for the Warriors. Davis-Stewart is averaging 19.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 6.2 blocks per game this season. She ranks seventh in the country in rebounds per game and second in blocks per game. Davis-Stewart currently has 31 total blocks on the season, which is 11 more than anyone else in the country.
- Senior Emily Houle scored a career-high 14 points in the win on Wednesday night. Houle shot 2-3 from long range and also grabbed six rebounds in the contest.
- The Warriors got 39 points from bench players on Wednesday night.
- Holy Cross enters the game this weekend with a 2-1 record after beating Boston College and Bryant. Saturday's matchup will be the first time both teams play each other in women's basketball.
