NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team will look to pick up its fifth win of the month of November when the Warriors visit Hartford University on Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tip-off. SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Hartford enters Sunday's action with a 4-2 record, and have won three of its last four games with victories over Marist, Gordon College, and Emerson College. Four Hawks are currently averaging in double figures, led by Miroslav Stafl at 12.3 points per game. The Hawks are shooting 42.1 percent from the field as a team and have made 47 3-point baskets.
800 CAREER ASSISTS ... AND COUNTING
Senior point guard
Juvaris Hayes is knocking on the door of rarefied air. He enters Sunday's game with 798 career assists, needing two on Sunday to collect the 800th for his career. Hayes needs 28 more assists to set a new program record, currently owned by Darren Duncan '10. His 7.8 career assists per game average is up there in program history as well. Peter Dufour leads all former Warriors with a career assists average of 9.0 per contest
LOCK IT DOWN
Merrimack's defense is among the best in the NEC in the early parts of the season. The Warriors are currently allowing a league-best 58.7 points per game - nearly six points fewer than any other team in the conference. The Warriors' .407 field-goal percentage defense ranks third in the confernece while Merrimack's 3-point field-goal defense (.272) sits atop the league rankings, as well. More league-leading stats include steals and turnover margin, where Merrimack's 11.57 thefts per game and +7.43 turnover margin are the best in the league. If Merrimack qualified, the Warriors would rank ninth nationally in steals and 18th in turnover margin.

Devin Jensen ranks fourth in the league with 16 treys and sixth in 3-point percentage (.421).

HISTORY AGAINST HARTFORD
Merrimack and Hartford will play for the first time as Division I adversaries on Sunday, but have played each other in the past. Merrimack sports a 9-1 all-time record against the Hawks, but have not faced Hartford since the 1982-83 campaign
