NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's basketball program aims to climb back to .500 in Northeast-10 Conference play when the Warriors travel to Albany, N.Y. on Saturday afternoon to face the College of Saint Rose at 1:30 p.m. from Nolan Gymnasium. The contest marks the program's final game of the regular season against the Southwest Division; the Warriors have won four of six games against the Southwest to bring their overall league mark to 6-7.
Five Things to Know:
- Merrimack outlasted American International at home on Tuesday, 82-72, to improve to 8-3 at Hammel Court. The Warriors have won seven of their last 10 games, and own a 9-3 record over their last 12 contests overall. Sophomore Mayson Kimball posted her second double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds while adding a career-high six assists
- The Warriors posted their ninth 80-point game of the season Tuesday, bring their season scoring average to a league-leading 74.3 points per game. Merrimack also leads the league with 178 3-pointers made and ranks second with 18.8 assists per contest. Nationally, the program is among the top-ten programs in both areas
- Merrimack's 3-point barrage features four players with at least 34 makes this year: senior Lindsay Werner (47), freshman Kate Mager (42), sophomore Alyssa Casey (35) and Kimball (34). Werner leads the team with a scoring average of 15.6 points per game while Casey (13.3) and Kimball (12.3) are also averaging in double figures
- Junior Denia Davis-Stewart and senior Karlee Alves also represent two of the top premier individual defenders in the conference. The former leads the NE10 and all of Division II with 79 total blocks, while averaging a career-best 12.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. The latter paces the Warriors with 69 total steals, ranking second in the NE10 and third in the country. Alves' 8.3 assists per game are the second most nationwide while her 167 total helpers are 17 shy of a new single-season mark
- Saint Rose enters Saturday losers of five of its last six games, and holding a 2-5 record against Northeast Division foes. The Golden Knights are led by Ashley Vanderwall's 14.7 points per game. Her 58 3-points made this season are the second most in the NE10

- 1,000 Career Points – Werner needs 41 more points to become the 21st player in school history to reach 1,000. Merrimack has not had a 1,000-point scorer since Chloe Rothman '15 four years ago
- Single-Season Assists – Alves is closing in on a new program assists record for a single season, needing 16 more to reach 183 helpers
- Team Records – Merrimack's offense is on pace to establish new single-season records in 3-point field goals made and 3-point field goal percentage. The Warriors need six triples on Saturday to eclipse the 2012-13 team's record of 183 treys
Series History:
- After facing Saint Rose twice last season, the Warriors moved within two games of tying the all-time series through 28 meetings (13-15)
- Merrimack won both contests last year by double figures – a 13-point win in Albany before a 57-34 triumph at Hammel Court. Both Werner and Casey averaged in double figures last year against Saint Rose, with the former netting 32 points on 11-of-23 shooting at Nolan Gym
- During head coach Monique LeBlanc's tenure, the Warriors are 4-4 against the Golden Knights
