NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After a crucial two points against New Hampshire last Saturday, the Merrimack College women's ice hockey program looks to lock up fifth place in Hockey East standings in a two-game home series against Connecticut this weekend.
The Warriors enter the final two weeks of the regular season in fifth place, sitting three points behind Providence and four points ahead of the Huskies. A pair of positive results this weekend can set up a potential run at fourth place, with #3 Northeastern left on the docket for the team's final two regular season games.
Weekend Promotions:
- This weekend's "Two for Two" deal reduces the price of admission for both games to just $2, as the Warriors look to pick up two crucial Hockey East points. Additionally, if you have purchased tickets to the men's games against Maine, your admission to the women's game is free – just show your ticket stub at the door.
- On Saturday, each player will be have a bead pinned to their jersey during pregame – after the game, those beads will go to a child or teen suffering an illness, in hopes to honor the courage of those coping with cancer and other serious illnesses. Beads of Courage is a not-for-profit organization that provides arts-in-medicine for children with serious illness; to learn more about the organization, or to donate to a child in need, click here.
