ORLANDO, Fla. – The Merrimack College men's tennis program concluded its spring break down in Florida on Thursday, playing a pair of matches against Division II Lees-McRae College and Division I Saint Joseph's out of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Warriors defeated the Bobcats, 6-1, in their day session before falling to the Hawks at night, 6-1.
Merrimack posted wins in four of five matches this past week, improving its overall record to 7-6. Against Division II competition, the Warriors boast a 6-1 record through seven matches with the majority of Northeast-10 Conference action left to play.

- Merrimack swept the doubles portion of the match. Junior Tyler Clontz and junior Paul Weidinger united as a pairing at No. 3, claiming a 6-3 victory. Merrimack's top pairing of junior Denis Davydov and freshman Conrad Koch won six of seven games at the top flight while junior Alex Fedorov and freshman Jonathan Garcia won, 6-2, at No. 2
- The Warriors dominated the singles portion of the day. Davydov was up big, 5-0, in his first set at No. 1 before his opposition retired. Freshman Alec Mackay Rodriguez did not lose a game at fourth singles, shutting out his opponent
- Weidinger played at the fifth flight, playing a perfect second set (6-2, 6-0). Fedorov also went unblemished in his second set (6-1, 6-0) in a victory at No. 3. Freshman Hassan El Alami won at No. 6, 6-3 and 6-2

- Despite failing to snatch the doubles point, the duo of Fedorov and Garcia grabbed an impressive victory at second doubles, 6-2, over the second pairing from the Division I Hawks. Mackay Rodriguez and freshman Marshall Wood brought No. 3 to a tiebreaker, but Saint Joseph's won that to claim the doubles point
- Freshman Conrad Koch headlined Merrimack's singles effort, winning at the fourth flight, 6-3 and 7-6 (3), to pick up a win against a DI foe
- Freshman Andre Singer won his opening set at the sixth flight, but faltered in the second set as well as the 10-point breaker to come up short in his bid to beat the A-10 representatives
