Highlights
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – After honoring its seven-member senior class during a special pregame ceremony, the No. 18 Merrimack College women's lacrosse program went toe-to-toe against the defending national champions before ultimately falling to top-ranked Le Moyne College on Saturday at Duane Stadium.
The Warriors led for the first 12 minutes of the game before the Dolphins scored nine of the game's next 10 goals to take control. The two sides would score six goals apiece in the second half before the final horn sounded.
Sophomore
Taylor Darrell shared the team lead in scoring with senior
Amber Feminella, appropriately enough; the former had two goals and a helper while the latter recorded her seventh hat trick of the season.

How It Happened
- Darrell put the Warriors on the board with a goal less than two minutes in before Le Moyne answered. But senior Bridget Schofield restored the Warrior lead not even 15 seconds later before the Dolphins leveled the score shortly after.
- Feminella's first of the afternoon off a free position made it 3-2 in favor of the hosts and a five-minute scoring lull followed during which both sides spent most of the game in the middle third of the turf. But Le Moyne's Bryanna Fazio eventually tied the game at the 18:17 mark and then took their first lead at 12:37. Sophomore Catherine Mahanna's first of the day got Merrimack to within one (5-4) with less than 11 minutes left in the half, but the Dolphins closed the half on a six-goal run to carry an eight-goal lead into the midpoint.
- Merrimack had the momentum to start the second half after tallies from Mahanna and junior Ally DaCosta, but Le Moyne had five of the next seven goals to go back up by eight. Last-minute goals by Feminella and sophomore Haley Bartlett closed out the contest.

- Darrell (2g, 1a) and Feminella (3g) were the leaders up front for the Warriors, while Mahanna accounted for Merrimack's lone other multi-goal performance. Feminella also had eight draw controls to lead all players, one shy of her career-high.
