WORCESTER, Mass.  – The Merrimack College baseball program dropped its second straight game at Assumption on Friday, 12-0, losing a non-conference contest at Rocheleau Field. The Warriors will return to action on Sunday, facing American International College for a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader.

- Freshman Sean Thompson tossed the first inning for the Warriors, but faced eight batters that resulted in a pair of runs crossing the plate for the Greyhounds. Junior Dylan Stevens took over in the second, retiring three of the first four Greyhounds he faced to keep it a 2-0 game through two innings
- Merrimack threatened to score in the top of the fourth. Seniors Matthew Ronai and William Keegan singled to put two on with one out, but the Warriors left both runners on base to squander the scoring chance. The bottom half of the inning saw Assumption put baserunners on the corners with one out, but sophomore Thomas Crowley threw the runner at first out trying to steal and Stevens induced a flyout to center to end the inning unscathed, keeping Merrimack's deficit at two
- Merrimack's relievers ran into trouble in the fifth. With two outs and the bases loaded, Stevens walked in a run for Assumption's third run. Sophomore Jake Thibault entered and allowed a single that plated two more Greyhounds. The hosts led, 5-0, through five innings
- Assumption's offense tacked on four more runs in the sixth. Junior Stephen Fleury tossed the seventh inning for the Warriors while graduate student Garrett Hudson made his season debut for Merrimack in the eighth, throwing a scoreless frame
- Freshman Ian Hanson entered the game in the ninth, collecting his first career collegiate hit on a single into left field
