DUDLEY, Mass. – The No. 48 Merrimack College men's tennis program increased its season-long tying winning streak to four matches on Sunday afternoon, handing Nichols College a 6-3 defeat from the Robinson Tennis Courts on the Bisons' campus in Dudley, Mass.
The Bison led after doubles, 2-1, before the Warriors won five of six singles matches including four via a sweep to record the come-from-behind win. Junior

- Playing under Division III scoring rules, the hosts won at first and third doubles to take a 2-1 lead into singles. The combination of Fedorov and Garcia salvaged one point for Merrimack, picking up their eighth win as a duo with an 8-5 triumph. The pairing has now won six straight doubles matches overall
- Merrimack took over during singles. Freshman Alec Mackay Rodriguez dominated the fourth flight, claiming set wins of 6-1 and 6-0. Classmate Andre Singer returned to the lineup and impressed as well, blowing his opponent away at No. 6 (6-2, 6-1)
- Garcia controlled No. 2 throughout, prevailing in his opener, 6-2, before winning his clincher, 6-3. Fedorov outlasted his opposition in the first set, 7-5, before a 6-0 shutout in his second frame
- Junior Denis Davydov won one of the two three-set singles matches, winning his first set (6-3) before holding on in the tiebreaker, 12-10. Davydov has won 10 of his last 11 singles tilts at the top flight, and improved his record in three-set matches to 5-0 this season. Classmate Paul Weidinger also saw his contest extend to a full three sets at No. 5 (6-2, 3-6, 5-7)

After preemptively postponing Tuesday's match at Franklin Pierce to later this month due to the rain forecasted to hit the region, the Warriors will now next play on Saturday afternoon when Merrimack visits Assumption in Worcester, Mass. The Northeast-10 Conference tilt is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
