Highlights
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.  – The Merrimack College softball program scored four runs in the back half of Tuesday's rubber match against Bentley, but fell a run short, losing both the game and the series against the Falcons.
Despite the 6-5 final, the Warriors out-hit Bentley ten to three; it's the first contest of the season where Merrimack has collected more hits than its opponent in a setback.

Lucy Colarusso led the Merrimack offense, going three-for-four with two RBI.

- Merrimack got on the board first, striking in the top half of the first inning. With two on and one out, sophomore Lucy Colarusso ripped a single down the line, scoring Abby Amato from second base.
- Bentley got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring six unanswered runs to take the lead. After an error and three walks, Juliana Romeo delivered the big blow; a bases-clearing triple down the right field line, scoring three and giving the Falcons a 6-1 lead going into the fifth inning.
- The Warriors managed to get one back in the top of the fifth inning. With Junior Tiffany Mangiameli on third, senior Caitlin McBride doubled to left center to score the team's second run. Lucy Colarusso then dropped a single into center field, scoring McBride to cut the lead in half.
- Merrimack clawed back once again, using a Hannah Johnson base knock to cut within one. A hard hit ball out to right field was misplayed, allowing both Nicole Nanof and Jen Hutnyan. The Warriors went down in order in the top of the seventh, finalizing the score at 6-5.
