Women's Ice Hockey Stumbles Against UConn

STORRS, Conn. –  The women's ice hockey team stumbled on the road in Storrs, falling 4-0 against the UConn Huskies on Friday afternoon.

How It Happened

• Jada Habisch scored her first for the Huskies midway through the first, as she peeled away from the boards and fired it through traffic for the tally midway through the first.
• Natalie Snodgrass scored her second of the year and second for UConn, finishing a 3-on-2 break at 13:45 of the second period.
• Habisch added her second of the game in the final seconds of the second period. The first year had a deflection in front after taking a feed from the corner for a 3-0 UConn lead.
• The rookie Habisch completed the hat trick at 19:57 of the third on the power play, poking through a loose puck from a scrum at the top of the paint.
• The Warriors fired 14 shots on goal and were unable to break through the Huskies defense.

• Goaltender Emma Gorski continued her strong work in goal for the Warriors, as she turned 39 saves against the Huskies.
