ORLANDO, Fla. – Opening up its week of matches in Florida for spring break, the Merrimack College women's tennis team blanked Dickinson College, 7-0, on Tuesday evening at the USTA National Training Center.
Merrimack improved to 8-0 on the season, and turns its attention to a pair of matches tomorrow against the University of Sioux Falls (11:30 a.m.) and Rockhurst (5:30 p.m.). Both matches will be played at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

- Merrimack dominated throughout the matches, including the doubles flights to start the day. The No. 2 pairing of sophomore Kristina Calistro and freshman Kelly Klaren notched a 6-0 win, and the Warriors' third doubles duo of senior Roberta Marcos and junior Abbie Sartori recorded a 6-1 triumph to guarantee the team the doubles point. First doubles completed the sweep with sophomore Rosemary Campanella and freshman Allyson Nerf won, 6-3
- The Warriors' rookie duo of Nerf and Klaren played at first and second singles, respectively, and picked up a pair of two-set wins. Nerf won, 6-0 and 6-1, at the top flight while Klaren prevailed, 6-2 and 6-0, at second singles
- Going down the singles ladder, Campanella swept her opponent at No. 3 (6-2, 6-1) while classmate Hope Salts did the same at fourth singles (6-2, 6-4). Senior Mia Briggs appeared at fifth singles, notching a 6-4, 6-3 win while Marcos added a win at sixth singles to wrap up the perfect day for the Warriors
