Drevitch Joins Pro Ranks with ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers

NAILERS PRESS RELEASE

WHEELING, W. Va.  – Former Merrimack College Men's Hockey player Tyler Drevitch '20 signed his first professional contract Wednesday with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

Drevitch, who served as a captain during his final season in North Andover, tallied 16 points on nine goals and seven assists in 94 career games played. He concluded his time as a Warrior in 2019-20 with five points when he played in all 34 games.

The Middleborough, Mass. native earned Hockey East All-Academic team honors throughout his career and just completed his degree in Communications/Sports Management in May.

The Nailers are long-time affiliates of the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins and 59 former players in Wheeling have reached the top league in the sport after stints in West Virginia.
